Most people decide within a few seconds if a website is useful to them.
You can use these tips and the power of Google Analytics to see which content on your site turns visitors into customers.
Give people what they want
Customers come to your website with a simple goal: to find what they’re looking for. And if they don’t find it, they’ll look elsewhere. Get more sales or leads by putting relevant information front-and-center.
Visit the “All Pages” report in the “Content” section of your Analytics account to find out what content clicks most with your customers. You’ll see:
- Which of your website pages are most popular
- Where people spend the most and least time on your site
- Which pages users leave your site from (i.e. have a high ‘bounce’ or ‘exit rate’)
Test for success
Improve the performance of important pages on your site by using Content Experiments. Try out two different versions of a page to see which one drives more sales or leads–for example, if you want to get more leads through your sales team, test a version with the “Contact Us” button featured more prominently.
