If you just did updates on your Genesis powered WooCommerce website and now seeing an error message on your “shop” page and potential other places, your solutions is below.

You may see a blank page or a similar error on your shop page:

Fatal Error: Call to undefined function ……wp-content/plugins/genesis-connect-woocommerce/lib/template-loader.php:268

Why this is happening

WooCommerce rolled out an update, v3.3, and one of the major features was to increase theme compatibility. Which is cool, however, v3.3 was pulled because there were several issues, which you can read about here.

With the updated of WooCommerce, the Genesis Connect for WooCommerce plugin also rolled out an update, v0.0.10, which only works correctly with WooCommerce v3.3.

As a result, v0.9.10 has also been pulled and v0.9.9 has been reposted as the current version.

The Solution – “How do I fix this!?”

The solution is relatively simple, you just need to revert back to v0.9.9 of theĀ Genesis Connect for WooCommerce plugin.

  2. Delete the GCfW plugin from the directory
